This small stream fishing kit includes everything you need to get started.
Kit includes:
- 210 cm (6'10") telescopic rod
- soft rod case
- two 210 cm rigs
- one 1-1/2" micro fishing float
- one hand towel
Designated as a "small stream rod", we find that it has characteristics similar to a Japanese tenkara or keiryu rod. In practice this means it has the backbone to set the hook and handle fish but a small sensitive tip that makes casting small flies or micro fishing rigs easy.
With the supplied rigs, you can catch micro fish like dace, chubs, darters, sculpins and more. Using a level line you could catch small trout too.
The 9 section rod collapses to just 12". It weighs 3.3 ounces.
The rod has a wooden handle and a swivel tip. This allows the lillian at the rod tip to rotate which can prevent rod twist and damage.
It also has a soft rubber cap that goes over the rod, rather than inside of the rod. This makes stowing and transporting the rod so much easier.
