Description

The Hinata is a high quality telescopic rod from Japan that was specifically created for microfishing. It is a light and delicate rod. Holding the Hinata is similar to holding a chopstick.

This rod cannot handle the average game fish. But it will allow a tiny micro fish to put up a fight and provide some serious sport. If you ever wanted to see a 2 inch shiner bend a rod then you should try the Hinata.

In Japan anglers often use this sort of rod to fish for small bitterling in irrigation canals. In the United States and elsewhere it can be used to fish small streams and the margins of larger waters.

The short length of the Hinata also allows the angler to get right up on top of micro species like dace and darters and see the take.

The Hinata comes in a plastic box and includes a yellow cloth carrying case.
